1. How about doing nothing?
I love solving problems by just ignoring them. They really do go away sometimes. ;)

2. If you have something that is broken
The best solution by far is to do this:

Take it apart, and put it back together again.

That's it. Do nothing else. Do not take it apart and fiddle with it. In fact, if you do that it's more likely that it won't work again when you put it back together.

Just take it apart, and put it back together again.

I guarantee this will work 86.7% of the time :)

3. Yep sometimes sleeping helps.
Try to solve the problem real hard just before going to sleep.

With any luck, the solution will come to you, or even better, while sleeping, someone else will fix it.
