I remeber when Jack McKeon used to manage the Reds
I knew then that it was a big mistake when they let him go because he built the reds into the "Big Road Machine" and they thank him by giving him the shaft. Man I hate Reds managmen. Does anyone know how many former reds were in the series?

4. I remember how Marge got rid of David Wells
Edited on Tue Oct-28-03 05:19 PM by LynneSin
cause she didn't like that tattoo he had on his arm (it was of his kid). Oh and she got rid of Davey Johnson as a manager because he was living in sin with his girlfriend

I've been through the best of the Reds and the worse of the Reds. I still love them though - go figure!

I loved that team

But I also loved those 1990 Reds too. They were a scrappy bunch of of players that took on the "Dynasty" Oakland A's and swepted them. They had the best bullpen with their Nasty Boys: Rob Dibble, Randy Myers and Norm Charlton. I have that entire series on Video Tape and I still watch it from time to time.

edit note: that 1975-6 picture doesn't include centerfield Cesar Geronimo. (the B&W one, not the one in my post)

9. I loved Rob Dibble!!!
Back when Franco was the closer for the Reds, I onced watch Dibble pitch out a jam that Franco created. This was in Philly and Franco loaded up the bases with no outs. They brought Dibble in and he pitched the most absolutely powerful 3 outs, all strikeouts and many of the strikes were fouls or swing & miss.

I met Dibble in 1991. He allowed me to try on his World Series ring. That guy had ENORMOUS hands!!!

12. Best damned team of all time
With good ol' Sparky leading them to victory(sigh) I would've loved to been alive then. I just love hearing my relatives and old timers tell me about that team.

11. I loved Paul O'Neill
Great all around ball player along with Eric Davis. For Christs sakes are the Reds a MLB training team for everyone else in the League.

Because he's starting to come back around and I'd like to see him retire as a Red.
