1. Is it just me or does brandy pack a walloping hangover

I drank half a bottle one night a few months ago and the next day my head felt like it had been chainsawed open.

I never get burned by my precious vodka. Brandy is too sweet which is bad for the next day

3. Were you not the one who posted yesterday that you never get hangovers?

and that you only had one once? From that thread where you went out with your dad. This brings two issues to mind.

1) How do you know what to avoid if you have not been given hangovers by many different substances, which would mean multiple times? Doesn't lack of experience detract from any claims of expertise?

2) Not getting hangovers is no acheivement at all if it is done through carefully avoiding hazzards. It is akin to never getting knocked out boxing because you only spar.

4. if I drink a ton of vodka

it's still a lot of alcohol but it has no effect on me the next day. The one bad hangover I did have was a night of drinking copious amounts of Southern Comfort along with beer and god knows what else. Plus I've been around many "days after" where the people in the worst shape were the ones who mixed or drank a lot of that sweet crap. I'm no glutton for punishment I just know a little bit about the anatomy of a hangover and what works best for my body.

Sticking to vodka for a big drinking night is always a safe bet

5. I find that bourbon treats me well

One time I buried a bottle of Smirnoff 100 pf in a snowbank and drank it. I felt horrible the next day.
