He's uncredited but Vader is Vader and that makes me happy.

2. Jones never sought credit for the voice of Vader
Word is that Jones never thought his contribution to the first movie was worth having his name listed in the end credits, although he has (since the original film) been credited a few times. In fact, there were several movie reviewers that thought that David Prowse (the British bodybuilder who actually wore the suit) did the voice of Vader, but come on. There is only one voice like that.

Jones has done such an incredible job over four movies and three decades. He has such a powerful, ominous, threatening voice. The voice of Darth Vader is one you will hear in your head the rest of your life, and it's James Earl Jones you have to thank for it.

3. I saw clips from New Hope
before the JEJ overdubs. Prowse's voice is pretty think and high. Everyone on set (in the doc. I saw) said they were disappointed that Vader's voice was so wimpy. They didn't know it would be dubbed in later.

5. I saw a documentary
Where the guy in the vader suit was doing Vaders dialoge and it sounded funny the guy had a plain kind of weak voice.

10. I think Mark Hamill dubbed Anakin's "forceful" voice.
Without the Hayden Christensen sulk, Anakin sounds a lot like Luke whenever he's using the force.

(I hope this observation doesn't ruin the movie for anyone, but what the heck are you doing here on this thread anyways? I avoided all the Star Wars threads until I saw the movie...)

A much better movie would have had Padme singing the Dixie Chicks' "Goodbye Earl" as she wrapped Anakin's cold limp body in a tarp and tossed it into the trunk of her speeder.

Goodbye Earl
We need a break
Let's go out to the lake Earl
We'll pack a lunch
And stuff you in the trunk Earl

11. I wondered about that too
Do you know for a fact that that is the case? It seems like when Anakin got really ticked off, he lost his New Jersey accent and sounded like Mark Hamill.
