1. Looks like my kitty, Chaucer.
That kitten pic is so sweet! I am partial to black cats!

Thanks for sharing with us, and YES, do get another kitty. I did n't think I'd ever get over it when I lost Tillie(You bitch!)a few years ago. She was with me for 17 years and left a horrible hole in my heart when she passed.

Finally, one weekend, my daughter begged to go to the Humane Society to pet the cats. We went and this little black kitten stole our hearts. He's now four years old and weighs fifteen pounds. I can't imagine life without him...

13. Lovely kitty!
She looks a lot like our Zorina, who we lost too soon 2 years ago this month.

Was she silky soft?

I'm glad she had a long happy life, and I'm sad for your loss.

15. Thank you for giving Octavia such a wonderful, love-filled life.
I'm so sorry about your loss -- saying goodbye to our special friends is impossibly hard.

When your spirit is up to it, and as time allows, you really should think about getting another cat.

When my 20-year-old Sally died, I went **11** years without a cat --and when I think back on that time, it was a mistake to be catless for so long. :(

Thanks for posting the nice pics of your beautiful Octavia.

19. I lost my black cat 2 months ago...
she was 15 years old and I had her since she showed up at my door, 7 months old and pregnant. I kept one of her litter, who is 14 now. He was missing his mommy so badly I went out and got a new cat this weekend -- from another DUer! The new cat is a 10 year old silver persian, and they are getting along rather well so far.

*hugs for you* I'm sure you will work on your BF and have a new cat in no time!

23. What a beautiful baby...
and pictures through her life. The last photo made me really sad, I don't ever think I will deal with that day when it comes. Bless your Octavia who has crossed the bridge. My older cat is 14 almost, and we really see him aging these days. He is truly a senior now.

I hope someday you will be able to get another furbaby. :)

24. She looks like my Crazy.
I refuse to believe that, if there is a Heaven, they're not waiting. Their lives are so short, but so amazing. How would it be heaven without Nicky(black lab mix female sweetest dog that ever lived, that I grew up with)? I've lost two cats in the last 2 years, and I wonder why I keep doing this to myself. Then I realize that it's selfish. They give themselves so completely.

28. I always imagine that
my cat is in heaven with my dad and other family members. I imagine that my dad, my grandad, my uncle are sitting together debating about mathematics and they have their cats on the lap.

26. Yes.. no matter how long it's been, we never
really "get over" losing them.. That's the cruel truth about pets.. We sign up for heartbreak when we take them in, but loving them and having them in our lives balances out the pain in the end..

Octavia was a very pretty one:)
