Poll question: Are you going to watch the Muppets' Wizard of Oz?

I LOVE the Muppets. I've loved them since the Muppet Show and "The Muppet Movie." I wept when Jim Henson died, and I wonder who does Kermit's voice now.

I'm going to watch the Wizard of Oz, maybe not tonight but we have Tivo. (It's on ABC tonight at 8:00)

5. I love the Muppets.

Jim Henson went to the same high school as my mom. There is a museum 5 miles outside of my home town dedicated to him.

Muppets take Manhattan is my absolute fave!

6. The Muppets have really gone downhill

ever since Disney looted them off Jim Henson's body. When the old Muppet Show was on, it was entertaining for people of all ages. Now, the whole franchise has become trendy and dumbed-down, aimed strictly at the under-12 set. There's still some reverence for the classic characters and themes, but even that is steadily disappearing.

I'll give this straight-to-cable production a shot, but I'm not expecting to be impressed.

7. I can't believe I'm defending puppets, but I disagree.

Yeah, Disney bought them. But the characters of Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Rowlf, Animal & the band, Swedish Chef, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew & Beaker -- these have all been kept true to their original characters, as they were in the Muppet Show and in the movies.

I'm not expecting to be impressed, either. I'm expecting to laugh and to be entertained by some of my favorite fictional characters.

I had forgotten about this completely - just logged onto my TiVo account and set it up to record (I'm so glad I got my TiVO, and have it hooked up to my network at home, I'll get my confirmation that it's set to record within the hour)

Being able to program your TiVo from your computer. It just seems like magic to me, because I know next to nothing about anything tech.
