I dont know where the Ask Skinner forum went but wanted to say that.

10. What is the deal?

Nobody seems to get by without bouts of insomnia these days! I have that frequently and it gets bad enough that I end up drugging myself with Benedryl and I hate to do that! For me it is partly my age I think. Typical problem for women my age.

2-3 nights on -3 hrs, then i can sleep for about 6 hrs.

no problem sleeping during the day, but i never get anything done that way. probably a career habit; used to work mostly nights.


i imagine the stress has been doing in a lot of us lately.

work nights too and I remember how hard it was to change back and forth and sometimes I just stay up and it feels normal! For a narcoleptic this insomnia has been an odd development. I can sleep anytime, anywhere and if I don't take my meds I do but then those nights come and I just can't figure it out.

Stress has to be a big part of the problem. Stress and worry. Kind of like when we used to have to worry about "The Bomb". We now have to worry again.

I have been hijacking threads all day today and it seems I am getting quite good at it. I think I have about 3 hijacks going right now. Yikes! Sorry to Mick.

8. For those of us deeply in debt

due to unemployment, medical bills, etc-donating to DU would be donating money that simply does not belong to us. It isn't ethical, and we shouldn't feel pressured into doing it.
