when they blow something up or break something? It does my heart good. LOL You guys like this show? I'd think it would appeal to most of DU's search for knowledge and educational, fun tv.

My only beef is that sometimes they could make a totally reasoned and logical explanation for why something couldn't work, but that's no fun, so they blow shit up instead... sometimes they just totally skip the science. But other than that, I like it!

9. Blowing stuff up is a fine thing

I put dents in my ceiling with chemical rockets and almost burned down the house with slightly miscalculated chemical reactions.

My cousin used to blow up empty oxygen tanks (the big ones they have in hospitals) in the middle of a frozen lake, using 8ft snow berms as protection. He eventually became a miner because he actually got paid to blow shit up. :D

3. Clearly, YOU have never blown something all up.

There is no joy to match that feeling. Especially if a bit of shrapnel missed your ear by "that" much.

And yes, I recognize that in them each time I watch that show.

(BTW, my explosives expertise is pretty much limited to some models and firecrackers when I was a kid, and the occasionally excessive bar'b'que flare up.)

4. They're great! And I gotta say, I remind a lot of people of the

guy who doesn't wear the white shirts, in terms of sense of humor and sheer joy in destruction and laughing when the test body falls and goes THUNK and making weird shit.

I think they have the absolutely best jobs in the world - they have a huge warehouse of stuff, and a tremendously huge budget, and get to do exactly all the stuff that I always wanted to.

That's the only job that I would give up my current job to have.

10. Wow, I'm jealous!

Myth Busters is a great show! Adam and Jamie (white shirt beret guy) are like Beavis and Butt head with brains.

My favorite show is the one where they put the dead pig in the Corvette and lock it in a storage container for a couple of months...in the summer. The look on the Corvette owner's face when the Myth Buster guys told him what they were going to do with his car was priceless!
