1). The track "Equinox," from "Coltrane's Sound."



2). McCoy Tyner's playing, especially on "My Favorite Things."

3). For having the courage to put out albums like "Ascension," when some people would rather have "My Favorite Things Part 2"

4). For "Spiritual," from "Live At The Village Vanguard."



5). Many, many other reasons...like "A Love Supreme," a pretty obvious one...but the four mentioned above are sufficient.
