looking for some freeware or shareware:
a freind needs a photo editing program similar to Microsoft Photo Editor. mostly for cropping, resizing, etc. nothing too fancy.

the program that came with her dell PC 'timed out' and they want money to turn on the some of the editing features. ain't that some shit?

thanks in adavance for anyhelp.

3. I second Irfanview - it's the BEST Freeware ever
He does take donations though. He will personally answer any questions you have as well, which is remarkable, I think.

But it is all very intuitive, more intuitive than most commercial packages.

7. If she needs something a bit fancier, there's the Gimp
A much-loved Linux program, now available for Windows. I haven't used it myself, but if I were looking for graphics freeware, it's the one I'd try first.

10. second the gimp
It is an excellent piece of software. Gives photoshop a run for its money. Especially if you factor in the relative costs.
