I gots an iPod prollem....can yuz help me?

My iPod keeps pausing randomly. It bugs me....you never know when it'll happen, and it always seems to happen right at "the good part."

Anyone else with an iPod dealing with this malfunction? I'd love to know what the fuck I should do, short of returning the damned thing.

1. Happens to me too

I haven't sat down and figured it out, but it happens with older files I ripped from disc using Musicmatch for an older iPod. I'm assuming if I use iTunes to re-rip the files, it'll be okay.

Is it a buffering problem?

3. I have no idea

it just pauses out of the blue. If I unpause it, it'll pause a couple of seconds later. Then I just listen to some other album.

6. Is it with files from the original disk?

I have sometimes have similar problems with files from a burned disk, but I just assume that's the loss of a generation (or in some cases two).
