Does anyone read Parabola?
I don't practice any religion and interpretations of spirituality and gods are wide open to me. So I kind of like this magazine because it explores different philosophies and religious thought through the ages without proclaiming any one dogma as the right one.

For those who consider themselves atheists, agnostics or just inquiring minds, where do you go to read or study the unknown and possible other worlds, dimensions or spiritual and philosophical thought?

1. No, but I shall do so now that you have introduced me to the magazine.

Any magazine that prints that quotes is worth reading. Thanks

2. Yes, that's from the current issue.
The one on war was published around the time of the Iraq invasion. It had some rather interesting war and military philosophy from different cultures.

3. I have an old issue: ECSTASY by my bed
for night time reading. I read it when it first came out in 1998 but just pulled it out. How odd to read your post about Parabola. I was just thinking about getting a new subscription (mine ran out). I think I will.

I like this site too, it sounds like a site you might like to browse and check out the links. It is a site about religion for people who don't like religion.

4. No, but an old friend of mine works for the magazine

See if the name Shanti Fader is in the masthead. I believe she has been with Parabola since 1995. At least, that was when she moved from Hartford to New York to take a new job.

8. Yes, she still does as associate editor.
That's an unusual name. Did she change her name for idealistic reasons or if not, what is her ethnicity out of curiosity?

7. It's really dense
I usually can really enjoy only about half the articles...but that's worth it to.
