7. Sorry for
hijacking your thread but Cream just played Royal Albert Hall and the 3 songs I have heard are great. It is far more interesting to here about Cream than the Stones at this time. The Stones have continued to tour and seeing them now is no big deal. I saw them many times including '72 with Stevie Wonder. I also saw Cream in '68 and I find their concert far more newsworthy.

8. You've never been to Moncton have you?
It's like 100,000 people. That's why it's such a shock

16. Did know
if they are touring this summer but there is a crowd recording of the show. I've heard "I'm so Glad, Crossroads and Sunshine of your Love and it is really good. Clapton's breaks are inspiring.

9. It's stuff like this that almost makes me glad John Bonham died...
..when he did.

I terrible miss Led Zeppelin but I feel that their imagine is intact. And although Plant, Page and Jones are still doing solo works at least they're not touring around ruining the good name of Led Zeppelin.

Rolling Stones haven't put out a decent album since "Some Girls" and I think I was still in High School when that came out. It's time for them to retire - their music is almost becoming anecdotal

13. The Stones are still a great live band, better than most current bands
who are clones of each other and have no individual personality.

I saw Led Zep on their very first US tour, and they weren't very good then.

18. Thanks
It's nice to hear that. This forum is so anti Stones it's pathetic. But, gawd forbid you trash Paul McCartney and Wings.

Anyway, I go to all their tours and I'll go to this one in Toronto. Their shows are alway abosolutely amazing, and I still love their studio releases, which are always critically acclaimed.

17. I saw Led Zep's
second tour in the U.S. and I know many people love them but they never did it for me. I was a huge Yardbirds fan and even owned an original copy of Having a Rave up with the best version of "The Train kept a rollin". .That being said Jimmy Page was at this Cream concert.

21. I didn't
knock the Stones at all and I do think they are good in concert. I just think the Cream concerts are more newsworthy. I can't poet yet so I needed someplace to talk about the Creanm shows.

22. I'm sick that I missed the Cream shows
I'm looking forward to seeing if they take it any further.

On the other hand, I don't have to listen to complaints about how old the Stones look as much anymore. Baker and Bruce look positively septugenarian. Regardless - I'll see them if I have the chance. Fuck the ageism that pollutes our culture; looks has nothing to do with performing.
