1. Depending on manufacturer, either XS or S.
Unless I want a roomy sweatshirt, in which case I go for medium.

A L has sleeves too long. A M has neck too tight. 16 X 33 for me.

6. My husband wears an 18, or an 18½ if we can find one.
It can be frustrating, because the shirts in that size don't always come in as wide a variety of colors. He wears 34/35 sleeve length.

Large for formal collared shirts or a more tight fitting T-shirt XL for things like an over shirt or something I want loose fitting.
