We were putting stuff away and figuring out stuff like that.

love it.
while you're netflixing.:
if you haven't check out "i like it like that" it's fun, and uplifing, but very true to the spirit of the so bronx. and a damned fun little soundtrack to boot.
i'm adding that and "grace of my heart" (again) to my cue today. is matt dillon the cutest semi beach boy evah?
wow, what's this instrumental? it's killah!
:bounce:
you go, jess.

Iloved Grace of My Heart. Loved the soundtrack too. I will check out "I Like It Like That" - I remember nothing about it. When is it from?

I'm really glad you're digging the tunes.

I think I'm going to the bakehouse after this to get some parmesan pepper bread. yum! :9

97. it's a couple years after "boys in the hood"...because the was just a bit
on IFC? i think, about (How there are hardly any) black women filmakers. it got made because some woman exec was (and i mean was) riding high on the success of of "boys".
you'll like it, it's set in nyc, urban a+r people trying to figure out a culture they don't really get.

no dogs were hurt, they were highly trained. and it's okay if you shut yer eyes for those parts. it's still a great flick. and it has gael.

118. no, it's the guy who directed 21 grams, and it's amazing ...
kind of like a latin twist on what altman does. it's about how love can make a dog out of any of us. in mexico it was called love's a bitch.
but there are some bloody dog fight scenes and that kept a lot of people from seeing it. in the end they show you how it was staged, and it's pretty funny. if you have any worries, maybe you shld watch that part first.

116. I have that same request from several other people at DU.
It seems as everyone wants me to give Andy a hug from them !

Andy was one of the first people at DU that I felt a connection with ~ he posted a thread about "I'm so scared y'all ... " I answered his thread that night and we exchanged about 2 or 3 PMs several months ago. I come today bringing gifts and an abundance of love for him from some of the amazing people of my hometown who are also wishing him an easy and speedy recovery.

:loveya: too ~ progmom

I listened to the whole show. I had it cranked up while I was cleaning, doing laundry etc.

I am very impressed. You played some real good stuff. Did I hear "Sing, Sing, Sing"? I went to take out the trash and when I came back I thought I caught the end of it.

Anyway, great show. I will be listening next week.
