12. Many years ago Frank Langella played Sherlock Holmes

on a tv special. It was done in an old fashioned way, using original language. At one point he was so angry and frustrated at his nemesis, Mr. Moriarity, that he yelped, "You, sir, are a reprehensible, despicable...CAD! And there was a gasp in the room by the onlookers who knew that this kind of language was OVER THE TOP. It was hysterical, and just the perfect insult.
