Poll question: Traffic Poll-what do you do?
Driving along the highway, you see a sign that says "left lane closed ahead" what do you do?

3. Actually, it Depends on Traffic
They right way is for both lanes to continue up until the merge, and then alternate one car from each lane. People merging early actually disrupt this process.

However, sometimes pretty much everyone decides to merge early. In this case, I merge with the rest of the traffic and try to block other cars from jumping ahead.

10. Actually, one is supposed to merge when the sign says to merge,
way back 2 miles or so...I've seen policemen stop some of the left lane loungers and I love it.

Kidding. Depends on traffic conditions. Hasn't come up lately.

6. You left out the option for
"Attempt to move left immediately, but stall for an hour, cursing the extraordinarily long line of vile-tempered buttheads who will not let you merge."

9. That's why I like having a truck. To block those idiots who try and
cut everyone off and create a huge bottlenecked traffic jam.GRRRRRRRRR, that makes me Grumpy.
