I am really bummed out...

There is a restaurant in our neighborhood that I stop at about twice a week to grab some food before I go to work. (I work evenings). I got to know the owner, Mario, and his son. Every time I went in there we would talk football, baseball...all kinds of sports. I always looked forward to seeing them because I enjoyed our conversations and because they are such nice people.

Anyhow, I took my family there for lunch today. Mario wasn't there today so I asked the girl behind the counter "where's the boss?". She looked at me and her eyes started to tear up...she pointed towards the ceiling and said, "He is with God."

Mario died on Saturday -- very unexpected. I feel so bad. He and is son are very close and I cannot imagine what the son is going through right now.

I'm going to miss him.
