Hey, what's up with the crazy DUers?

I've noticed that, according to the profiles, some DUers are posting like crazy! I've been here for well over a year and I've got 4,000+ posts, but I've seen a couple of DUers that have been here only since this month and already have over 1,000! Are the profiles wrong or are there some folks with too much time on their hands?

1. In general, the younger generations, raised around computers

and the net, are capable of carrying on multiple conversations at once via keyboard, they can have 6 browser windows open posting as quick as a chat room here.

Youngred did the same thing, I remember watching in awe as he tore through about 5000 posts in under 2 months.

I have nothing better to do than post messages online. However I do have better things to do than count people's posts.

8. I've wondered the same thing!

I've been here over 2 years and only have barely over 4000 posts- half of which were accumulated during the last 6 months when I've been on DU practically non-stop.

I think it all depends on the quality of your posts! :)

10. Some of us frequent other forums

I've been here about a year and a third, and I only have about 1100 posts or so, but I am older, more tolerant, and less inclined to debate rather than go look at something else, unless I see a thread that REALLY hits me. A person only has so many hours a day to put on the Internet, and many sources of Info, and two discussion boards, maybe at most.
Too much is too much as you get older, also.

and I've been here since that horrible, rainy, January day shrubco was sworn in on squatter rights - I know, I'm slow.

Post counts don't always mean much. I watched a poster recently rack up his count by making a new thread for what seemed like every website on the internet! rofl < shakin' my head over that one >
