Well, law school is OVER for me! Had my Bioethics exam this morning. 2 essays, one of which was rather difficult; the other wasn't too heinous. Had to discuss whether a physician should reveal to an AIDS patient's parents and lover that she had AIDS, how the doctor should decide whether to terminate life support if she needed it and what causes of action could be brought against him and/or the hospital. The other question was about a 30-year-old guy who fainted and sustained severe brain damage after being without oxygen for 14 minutes (not like the Schiavo case; he wasn't in a PVS). Had signed a organ donor card, but wife didn't want to donate his organs. She wanted his sperm retrieved so she could conceive or maybe donate them to an infertile couple. Doctor wouldn't do it unless she agreed to donate organs, and she wouldn't agree to donate organs unless he harvested the sperm, both of which had to be done while the patient was alive. What would I advise be done?

I'm just glad it's OVER. You couldn't wipe the smile off my face at the end of the exam! I'm going around taking pictures of friends and the law school and clinic; I'm such a sentimental fool that I find this necessary for my emotional health! Now I'm in clinic to start wrapping up my two cases; I have to make a final court appearance for one client on the 16th, but that should be a piece of cake.

It feels SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I'm crying too because I have loved law school so much. Am I nuts or what?? :woohoo: :applause:

I fucking hated college. You deal with pedantic professors that think they're waaaaaaaaaaay too important, work 4 jobs just to pay rent, do about 80 hours of school work, and pretty much all just to get a stamp on your head that says you're a "good can of tuna". No more of that for me, thanks. I'll work one job for 40-50 hours a week and get paid nicely for it.
