They people that became successful and want to slam that same door of opportunity that they went through closed for others. They are just another sickness in society.

3. I think you...
are wrong.

It's pretty bigoted of us to assume those who don't believe in the liberal agenda are automatically racist, stupid, or evil. I have respect for anyone who can articulate their views, no matter how wrong they may be...Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell come to mind. They stand firmly against all racial preferences and practically every other aspect of the democratic platform, however they do it RESPECTFULLY...They don't assume our intentions are bad...just misguided. I think we owe them the same respect.

2. Yes.
I live down the street from a politically conservative Hasidic Jew (may just be orthodox, has full beard and hat) . His car has bumperstickers that say "don't steal, the government hates competition", an NRA bumpersticker, and a pro-israeli bumpersticker. He seems very conservative. I can kind of see where he's coming from, as a member of a tightly knit community our social safety net may seem unneccessary to him. Also the integration fostered by liberal social policies are a threat to his sense of community (I could only imagine how bad he'd flip if his daughter married a black muslim). Taxes being low is probably important to him as well, since lower taxes let him maximize the utility of his interactions with the outside world. I would imagine that there are similar political views among some other minorities, the Amish for instance.
