I just watched a great "All In The Family" episode
Edith finds out her late cousin was a lesbian.

When telling Archie, he says something about religion & God, and Edith says "well you're not God"

She also tells Archie, referring to the SO "she hasn't done anything to hurt you so why do you want to hurt her."

Edith was so sincere and understanding. Too bad more people don't think like that.

2. For my money the Sammy Davis Jr episode was the best...
One of the best TV series ever; but it jumped the shark when Mike and Gloria moved to California...

they dealt so well with the issues. Maybe DU needs a TV program. Somebody needs to call Norman Lear so we can work this out. He might go for it he's our kind of guy

8. I love that show....it's such a classic, but
people say they could never have made it in the current climate. I say why not? It's too bad people don't talk anymore about bigotry, we all just keep it below the surface. We all know it still exists in private....

you can read it here:

"My shows were not that controversial with the American people.
They were controversial with the people who think for the American people."
