It was set up that way to avoid unbiased favoritism in the voting. I mean, what if the best photo is by someone you despise? Might that tempt you to vote for something else just out of spite? (Not you, personally, but a general "you".)

Personally,I haven't met the person I despise on DU (freepers excluded, of course), but there is some mighty cliqueish behavior at times. :(

Road Trip is SO DEM Underground, though.

The Che was awesome and I'm a sucker for butterflies and that was such a good shot.

Love the packard perspective and the Point Reyes, although I don't quite get Christmas Street. Zipper is cool in a creepy sort of way. Dinner anyone?
