Photos of Hradcany and St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague!
The first is of the Alfonse Mucha designed stained glass in the Cathedral--not your ordinary stained glass! I think his work is just incredible! If you haven't been to Prague, the Hradcany is the castle area, although there really isn't a palace per se. It is a large enclosed area with the royal palace, the Golden lane where the tradesmen worked, and other smaller buildings. The highlight is the cathedral, and you can't get it all in at once--as I said, it's an enclosed area, and you can't step far enough back to take it all in. Anyway, that's why my photos are of small sections of it.

And yes, I'm an idiot--can't get some of these rotated correctly!

1. I loved Prague!
These are beautiful pictures!

I went in midwinter, 12 years ago. All my pictures are cloudy and rainy.

I did get my picture taken with one of the castle guards, though. :)
(he couldn't respond, but his face did kind of turn red. :7)

3. Thanks! I was wondering when anyone was going to look at these!
This was my fifth trip to Prague--all the other times is was cloudy, rainy and foggy (that was the winter, though), but I hit beautiful weather this time...as you can tell from the pix.

5. That's true--a lot of money, time and effort goes into them because
the cathedrals are so important to the people, BUT, the St. Vitus Cathedral really has a lot of charm that you won't find elsewhere.
