The Kittens are GONE!
In case you haven't been following, a stray cat had kittens under my back deck recently. I posted a pic of them earlier today.

They were there this morning when i took that picture and gone when I got home from work. I must have spooked the mom so she moved them. I'm sure she probably moved them under our house or maybe a neighbors. There's no way I can crawl under a house every day to socialize some kittens. I'm pretty dissappointed. I was really looking forward to playing with them and preparing them for adoption. Now they'll likely not have a very bright future at all.

:(

5. keep putting out food for her, she knows at least where to come
to eat, and then maybe you can follow her to the kittens?? when they get to be about 6-8 weeks old they will probably come with her to the food.

that's the only idea I can think of. I love cats and have been feeding the strays in my neighborhood, trying to tame them.

6. Thanks
I was out in the back yard with the dog and she bravely came running by and went under the house. Then I pu the dog up and brought some food for her. After that I walked around the house looking under the house to see if I could find the kittens. I saw her under there licking her chops (she had just eaten the food I put out). She looked at me while i talked to her but i couldn't tell if the kittens were nearby or not.

At least I know she'll have plenty of food. I'm still pretty bummed though.
