I lived in AUstin for years as a recluse...and then I met a couple of DUers for a local protest...and then met some more for a gathering...and now I have some that I'm delighted to call friend that I see all the time. I've traveled to another state to meet DUers. I've met some who drove for hours to meet me (and the rest of the Austin crowd). Your fellow DUers are wonderful people and you should all meet as many as possible. DO IT!

16. Something funny. I went to a meetup last summer called a DU.

DU has meetups; another forum I belong to has DUs. ("Drink Ups").

It was a lot of fun.
