Please pray for my dad GreenLantern. He's headed to the hospital again
What a "Job" year he is having. :(

This will be the third attempt to get the suture site from the original surgery to stay closed, his diabetes is giving him trouble, and it looks like he may have pneumonia.

And no, I have not been there this last week to help take care of him. He has been worried that his cough is contagious and doesn't want the kids near it. And of course all of this is exacerbated by the fact that mom isn't there to take care of him either.

*frustrated and sad*

4. Seriously, from your mouth to God's ear. My Nana (dad's mom) will
Edited on Mon Apr-25-05 01:18 PM by GreenPartyVoter
be home from the south in 2 weeks. He has to be better before then because short of tying her down we won't be able to keep her from taking care of him. And she's in no great shape herself! :P (Actually, I think my uncle sat on her when she found out my mom died so that she wouldn't just hop on a plane and come home.)

19. Well, he's been admitted to get the fever sorted out and to see if there
is an infection at the surgery site.

No word yet whether or not he has pneumonia or not.

16. You are in my thoughts.
I come from a family full of diabetics. I bet the suture site is giving him probs. Wound care is never pretty.
I hope for his sake that he does not have pneumonia and that the site clears up just fine.
Just try to keep your head up high and think positive thoughts!

may well be interfering with his healing at this point.

45. Thank you so much. I am not feeling like a good daughter these days, but
I know it was his choice to keep the kids and me out of the picture until his pneumonia or whatever it might be is no longer contagious. (Which goes to show what a great dad and Boppy he is, to put us first even though he is completely miserable.)

56. This made me sad ... Don't do that to yourself! !
I think YOU are being a good daughter. It sounds like your parents raised a very caring and loving woman. You obviously love your father and I'm sure he knows this. It's been a rough year for you and I understand your frustration and worry. You ARE a good daughter, Your Father is a good man, HE knows it's important for you to be at home looking after family.

I trust your father will gain strength and get better. Continue to be the good daughter your are. Call him, hold him up in your thoughts and prayers. Send him good Karma and we'll do the same.

always.

kesha.
