With apologies for the dial-up crowd (I just escaped your fate hours ago!).

I came across this one tonight. Taken in 1983 aboard the Queen Mary, this photo is of me and the man (yes, man) I was engaged to marry. We were both wallflowers, and if nothing else, the wallflowers on a college campus do tend to gravitate toward one another.

It's not strange for the times; this is exactly who I was trying desperately to be. This is who I believed I was.

But I wasn't. :7 Still, I like the picture.
