What does this bumper sticker mean?

I just saw it on a fundie's car.. It read, "Thanks God, America is Great!". The first word was, "thanks" not "thank". Does it mean (The Driver) thanks God because America is great? Or does it mean Thank you god, America is great because of you? Or is it just a moran-ish typo?

2. Hmmm.

Maybe God said, "Hey, you! How is America?" and he's answering, "Thanks, God, America is great!"

Nah...probably not. ;)

It looks to me as though it is implying that America is great because of something God did, which may further imply that America is more worthy than other countries.

7. Ah, that's very different!!

The Horizontal line is an indication of division. The owner is calculating the Worship of God, indicated by the meme "Thanks God" with the Worship of Nation, indicated by "America is GREAT". The owner seems to be indicating that the Worship of God is more important that Worship of Nation, since the result of the calculation would be greater than one in this case, whereas the opposite case would result in a fractional value.

Does it all make sense now?

The grammar suggests the bumper sticker is about the driver.

The driver thanks God but then goes on to say America is great. The two statements grammatically are not related. He thanks God. The voice of the bumper sticker (told in a third person omniscient POV) seems to think America is Great. Peculiar.
