I just love Texas in the spring...
There is nothing more beautiful than the Hill Country on a nice spring day. The flowers are in bloom, the wildlife is out, and all is right with the world. :)

4. I'm with you
And the weather's just beautiful. 72 degrees, sunny. Ahh, the month of spring before the dreaded heat comes.

5. It is beautiful there in the Spring.
Which is why it's hard to believe that it will become a blisteringly hellish infernal region in about 3 months from now.

8. Oh, I don't live in Texas anymore.
So it's not a problem.

But I am going to a formal wedding in The Woodlands in about a month. I'm not looking forward to wearing a suit in the hot AND humid Houston climate.

I work in my garden in the heat of the day in August! :P

It helps to have developed a 34 year long immunity to the worst of it. But I am looking forward to my 2 week escape to the Midwest in June.

14. I have been sitting in the steam room at the club every other day...
...to prepare myself.

It is odd how a person can get used to it though. I remember jogging in Houston on 95 degree, 95% humidity days.

But I will say this........my hair never started thinning out until I moved to Houston. I don't know if that was a coinky-dink or if it was the blastfurnace-like climate.

15. Hmmmm....
Good strategy.

My dad's hair fell out massively when we moved down here too. Soemthing about pores clogging with sweat and hair not being able to breathe so it falls out mebbe?

Couldn't help it.

We've had a beautiful couple of weeks here, haven't we? Even here on the 'coastal plain' as we euphemistically call Houston.

11. Best time of year in Texas
When summer heat is slow in coming and there's been enough rain for all the wildflowers.

Bluebonnets in my backyard, about 2 weeks back.

12. Garl DAMN freaking allergies.
I HATE IT.

I can't even enjoy the mild weather we have because of my freaking allergies.

Then it's just hotter than hell FOREVER.

Sorry. I feel I have messed up your lovely thread.
