can someone explain the BBV fight to me?

and may i ask that it not come from the folks who posted most of the 250+ comments on the other thread. i was away for a while, and didn't read the deleted thread at all. i can't make heads or tails out of it, but it breaks my heart to see so many of my favorite people fighting like that.

the BBV issue is way to important for this kind of stuff, whatever it is. and the CT person in me cannot help but wonder if there are plants, disrupters, and moles working in our group to make sure we're discredited before we even get going.

so sad.
