4. Its not the greatest choice but they do speak English which is probably
why everyone heads to Canada rather than Mexico. I mean donw in Mexico they give a damn and I would doubt they would ever waste the manpower looking for everyone.

3. Don't worry.
The most right-wing Canadian politician is probably just barely to the left of John McCain.

5. After a month of watching the campaigns...
I think most Canadians will remember why they didn't vote for the Alliance last June so it's a very hypthetical question.

7. I thought I heard on the news...
that Harper doesn't wanna pull the trigger this week, but next week might see a writ dropping. Of course there were several months of rumours about election calls before the last one actually happened. Also I heard reports of polls that suggested that a huge majority of Canadians don't want to see an election now.

11. yep.
And this is the best chance they've had since I moved up here in 2001. It's going to be close, but whoever wins is going to have to rule by coalition anyway, so I think it won't be a disaster unless the CPC pulls a majority government out the hat...

10. Canada.
Harper's no more conservative than Bill Clinton was, even if you make assumptions about what he'll do once in office.

12. Harper's to the right of Clinton...
No question; his problem is that he has the personality of Perry Como on quaaludes...
