On the night Max wore his wolf suit
and made mischief of one kind...

and another...

His mother called him "Wild Thing" and Max said "I'LL EAT YOU UP!"

So Max was send to bed without eating anything...

3. I just realised that I can recite the entire story by memory...

...that very night in Max's room a forest grew...

and grew

and grew untill his ceiling hung with vines and the walls became the world all around.

4. I've bought so many copies for my son
and have given them away to friends and their children.

I believe he still owns one copy (and he is 16 now)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"Please don't go, we'll eat you up we love you so"

And Max said, "No".

7. Funny the things that stay with you huh?
There's a kid-oriented CD from They Might Be Giants entitled "NO!"

We've given that to many children as a gift... the songs just stick.

5. We named our first dog 'Max' when he was a puppy because of this story
Edited on Tue Apr-12-05 02:59 PM by Richardo
We thought he looked like he was wearing a white wolf suit.

We had to put him down at age 15 just before Christmas. What a great dog.

Thanks for the memory, thoughtanarchist! :hi:
