Two choices only:

His Girl Friday, with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell.

3. His Girl Friday was on TCM tonight
It is a GREAT, GREAT film. Super fast dialog, a strong female character. It's one of the best screwball comedies, one of the best films ever. I wish I could transport my TIVO tape to you. Look for it to replay again sometime.

Whereas "The Hand That Rocks The Cradle" covers you with pink rose pedals and exalts your soul into the seventh level of Heaven.

10. I suppose Floogeldy can use the charity vote
but it didn't ask which actress was hotter. Only which film was better.
I just watched His Girl Friday again. Cary Grant mentions his real name in the film. When the mayor tells him he and his newspaper are done for, Grant replies: "the last person who told me that was Archie Leach, right before he cut his throat." I had never caught that line before.

15. you mean the Leach line?
I love His Girl Friday. I recently saw Arsenic and Old Lace again. Grant is nothing short of brilliant in that film. His acting ability is greatly under-rated.

16. Yes, the Leach line.
I tried watching Arsenic and Old Lace once...many years ago my middle school put on a production of it, which bored me....and sadly, even Cary's version seemed so implausible and so....I don't know. I only watched the last half though. Maybe if i saw it all the way through. Cary is fantastic though!

13. His Girl Friday is one of the best 'banter' films in history.
Rebecca de Mornay no longer has a career, that should tell you something. I don't even remember who else was in...Annabella Sciore (or something similar?)?

Though, Cary Grant is delicious. I really didn't need to see what the other movie was after I read his name.

17. His Girl Friday. Anything with Rosalind Russell.
A very under appreciated actress IMHO.

20. and this role is especially good
a very strong female role. The film was far from conventional in it's portrayal of women, of Hilde anyway.

19. Give your reasons for voting for "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle"
We have lots of testimony for "His Girl Friday," but not for the other film. Better yet, exercise some judgment and vote for His Girl Friday. :)
