Blackened Catfish, Artichoke & Oyster Florentine at Jackson Square,
live and wonderful Cajun, Jazz and Zydeco music throughout the streets and incredible weather. One hell of a great first day of the French Quarter Festival.

1. You are so lucky
How I love Jackson Square. So many happy memories of the Park,
the great restaurants, the artists, the powdered things you get in
the shop on the corner. We live in Illinois and go as often as
we can. The French quarter isn't what it used to be but it's still
pretty great. Have fun & I wish I were there with you.

2. Hot Damn, that sound wonderful!
I spent the afternoon planting squash and tomatoes and making jumbo shrimp, stuffed with crab and wrapped in bacon. Still, you're in Jackson Square.....I envy you....

4. Damn Rowdy
I need to come eat at your house. Did you have any weather damage last week? It looked like the end of the world for a little while but we just ended up with a lot of rain.

6. We lucked out on escaping weather damage AGAIN!
If we can just make it past the storms next Monday, we have a tree-trimmer coming Wednesday to get rid of the last two damn pecan trees that threaten the house. One's dead, the other's dying and either could be a nightmare.

Boss, if you're EVER in the Jackson area, you'd damn well better let me know. I try to keep something good in the freezer at all times, but-if I slip up-there's an exceptional oyster bar about two miles from my house. If you'd rather have catfish, the best place in central Mississippi is two miles in the other direction. I just finished an oyster po-boy and I'm going for catfish tomorrow.

3. Sounds like a blast!
and I was there this past December, the weekend of the HS football championships. :hi: The weather was excellent, if not a little colder than I had prepped for.

Party on!
