If I could buy some weed today, I would, and I would smoke it, or find
another way to ingest it. If it alleviates pain, that is. Fuck.

Vioxx is off the market. I can't take Celebrex -- high blood pressure. Bextra never really worked for me anyway. Injections haven't worked, not even x-ray guided ones. Fuck.

Why in the name of Volstead is marijuana an illegal substance?!

9. Get Winnona Ryder! She must have some Oxycontin!
Or better yet, Rush Limbaugh. He's got to get rid of his stash.

2. I had to come off Vioxx after major back surgery
I developed bleeding...literally homorraging after two years on it. I found that extra strength tylenol works better than anything...really...try it.

Feel better.

which means pharmaceutical companies can't charge you exorbitant prices for it. If they could, it would be legal and expensive.

On edit: not that I'm encouraging you to break the law in any way. Of course.

4. Because the government isn't making a profit from it.
Edited on Fri Apr-08-05 04:17 PM by elperromagico
They can make profits off of ciggies and booze by raising taxes on those items, all the while claiming that it's to get people to stop using those things. Of course, it isn't; if people quit smoking and drinking, the government wouldn't make any money.

Follow the money. Always follow the money.

5. Pot doesn't relieve pain
It relieves nausea.

Pot can actually increase physical pain by increasing the heart rate and sending blood to injured areas. I don't think pot would help a burn victim. A friend had some fingers blown off, and pot made it hurt more.

But it will get rid of nausea, headaches, stomachpains, cancer...a long list.

8. Yes, pot has its benefits. But let's not go nuts.
Most people use it for one benefit and one benefit alone: to get high and eat Cheetos.

28. I believe it does
It also interacts with ibprophen and other over the counter pain relievers to produce a very good amount of pain relief.
I can't help you Bertha from where I am nor do I think that it is good to discuss that on a public message board, but good luck.

16. yikes!
Back pain sucks. I don't know much about pot's pain relieving abilities but at least when you are high, you don't have to worry about pain...just worrying about your next munchies fix.

Hope you can find something that helps

29. It's a shame our government turns decent people into criminals
For something that grows naturally!!

My mom has final stage ovarian cancer. She is NOT a criminal. She is a decent, kind woman who worked most of her life paying taxes to a government that would now put her in jail for trying to live pain free and with dignity.

:grr: :grr: :grr:

I'm sorry you're hurting sweetie. If you can find something that works, I say go for it.
