2. I've always thought DST was the laziest way to adjust clocks.
Edited on Sun Apr-03-05 01:26 AM by Jamastiene
I mean they make up manually adjust many clocks all because they can't understand what the mathemeticians are saying about our days really being slightly longer and our years being slightly longer than the 60 second/24 hour/365 day dealio. If they'd just adjust the length of a second, which is highly adjustable if you think about it, all this confusion and theft of our private time could be avoided. No, seriously, think about the length of a second. Can you predict when the next second will be without a machine to do it for you ACCURATELY? I say it's time to start a movement to adjust the length of a second. And no, I'm not sober. Did you have any doubts? :P

Jama's feeling right about now.

3. Wonderful Idea!
And we can take all those unused microseconds, and accumulate them in a time account...really! It'll work, they'll never notice it!

And then...we can LIVE FOREVER!

9. Seriously, we are living in a time deficit.
Try this and get a mathemetician to do the math if you don't want to. Time yourself just clicking the okay dialogue box on your computer when it updates the time. Multiply that by 2. Then multiply THAT number by the amount of time just since you got your first computer (in years)until the age you think you'll live to be (in years). Now how much of our lives have our idiotic selfish leaders who already slave us to death and waste at least 40 hours of our week just in slaving hours, not including time spent in line in (fill in the blank) public places or the time it takes to commute, WASTED. The LEAST they could do is get an engineer and a mathemetician on this problem. I'm not even including the clocks we have to manually change TWICE a year.

11. I appreciate it.
Thank you kindly. If you'll hire me to sweep the floors or something, I'd sure enjoy listening to the planning stages. I'm very interested in physics, althout I can't use big words to explain what I understand. I still have lots to learn though. I do know that if we did that, we could pitch a whole new technology to businesses to get them to go by the new clocks. Imagine if we found a way to calculate how much $ they'd save...

12. I ain't sure 'bout all that physics stuff, kid
But I do know that Jenkins upchucked in the men's washroom again. You go clean that out, and we'll see 'bout gettin' you a job here full-time like, okay?

(Getting a bachelor's degree in physics, btw, is essentially like getting a bachelor's degree in English: both qualify you to flip burgers, mop floors, and apply for graduate school.)

13. That's like what I always say
"I've got a Bachelor's in Creative Writing. I'm qualified to be a Grad student, or a bum. Or both."

14. Just keep chanting:
"Iowa'll take me someday, and then it'll all be better. Iowa'll take me someday, and then it'll all be better. Iowa'll take me someday, and then it'll all be better."
;)

gain the ability to wow people like me who aren't easily amused especially if you decide to become a teacher. Priceless.

A cleaning I will go. At your service. Will do.

Btw, may I recommend a fine catering service for this wonderful discussion? I know a wonderful one.

Eastern time is now 3am +.

Central time is now 1am +.

That's a two hour time diference.

Normally it's only one hour.

8. Just checking to see what time DU says it is.
Edited on Sun Apr-03-05 01:38 AM by NYC
For me, it's 3:36 a.m. EDT.

Edit: Things are worse than I thought. DU says 1:36 a.m. Shouldn't it at least say 2:36 a.m.?
