Sound as if some of the Americans over in Rome expected something...
Like the New Year Ball Drop. I am watching MSNBC where they mentioned some of what the Americans were saying there in Saint Peters Sq. Good Lord! A man DIED! It is not some sort of show for there entertainment!!!

Cokie Roberts? What does she have to offer? Warmed over conventional wisdom and worthless opinions. Lord knows she's not gonna do any actual reporting.
