Why are some people insensitive or deliberate mouthy troublemakers at work

Just curious. I've got one who's as cold as ice (she hates me but she's got a son with a similar disorder so I hope she hates him too) and another who bashes other co-workers to clients, and even to some other co-workers.

1. Why are you the way you are at work - or anywhere else

for that matter.

You seem to be suggesting that this behavior has something to do with work.

There are lots of reasons why people have the personalities that they do.

2. Many possibilities

Raised wrong, insecure, self esteem issues, lacking medication to control brain chemistry disorders....or maybe just plain mean.

Or maybe they hate their jobs and are employing the "kick the dog" technique to dissipate their rage.

Best bet is to ignore them, especially if they are seeking a reaction from you to gratify themselves.

A) It's their nature to be insensitive and gossipy, and/or B) They get by with it.

I have the best employees, yet I know when unit heads are not doing their job.
