4 GI's assult friend outside 7/11:

Reposted from a thread at a music message board I read:

I just got a call a few minutes ago. Apparantly, 4 drunken GIs jumped him and beat him outside a 7/11 while everyone watched and no one would stop it. Their reason? Because he's a "dready hippie and we're at war!". He is black and blue, and his jaw is smashed and wired.

Lets send a few good vibes his way today.

" "apparently?" what, were they wearing their fatigues? how did this person know that they were GI's? and someone literally got beat down for doing nothing outside a 7-11, and noone did anything? in what city/state/region did this occur? sorry, given the source of this, and the huge lack of details, i'd need more to be convinced that this was a real story (and that the truth of what happened was being represented).

I guess that's why a) I posted this in the lounge b) I believe it in the first place, this coming from a trusted individual whom I've respected in the past.
