| 3. I'm watching Predator on AMC |

And that was one of their "fun facts"
He was Predator for 3 days. He didn't like being punched, so he quit.
The black guy who played the monster on "Harry and the Hendersons" replaced him.

Was that the part of the alien, or the part played by the gropenator?
Or am I incorrect in thinking about the movie?

and was fired.
Trivia for Predator (1987) According to an interview with director John McTiernan, the "hole in the jungle" appearance of the Predator was played by Jean-Claude Van Damme in a "blue screen" (actually red) suit. Van Damme quit after two days, unhappy with being cast as an uncredited special effect. The alien was scrapped, redesigned and was eventually played by 7'2" Kevin Peter Hall.

The character of the Predator in Predator (1987) went through many development stages, including one version that was set up for Jean-Claude Van Damme to play a martial-arts fighting Predator, and finally decided on the crab-like humanoid monster seen in the film. The producers realized much of their human cast were bodybuilders over 6 feet tall (and Van Damme was clearly smaller) and thus they cast the Shaq-sized Hall so that the Predator could believably beat up the humans.
