But in my state of CT, that is against the law. You must wait until the next day! I don't know why!

Check what the law is in your state!

BTW, Happy Birthday!

Got some extra money so we are gonna gorge on Easter Chocolates!
Unfortunately, the SO has to work overtime tomorrow... so we are gonna do some extra relaxation on Sunday!

37. It's from a few years ago, when I first started learning
Norwegian. I thought that the phrase for "laugh about it" would be something like "latter om den" - turns out, a year later, I realise that it would be more along the lines of "le om det" (which rhymes quite nicely), and that the original makes no sense whatsoever! But it stuck, and it's easy to type. :P

I only studied it in elementary school, but I wish I hadn't quit. Everyone else I know thinks it's too rough, but I like it.

Yeah, I was pointed to it a couple weeks ago, and I'm definitely going to go over there once I shell out some donor money (I think I should get paid more often ;)).

When all the cousins (this is just on my mom's side) get together, we have so much fun. We all just get drunk and make fun of each other.

WE have names for each other.

For example
My cousin Courtney, we call her Snortney
My cousin Kelsey, we call her Smellsey:)

23. Saturday night I am going to a local coffee house to hear a music
group. The members of the band all attend my church and one is in my Sunday School class (and a liberal Democrat!) It is near my house and should be fun.

I am also putting together a gift basket for a charity auction, getting a pedicure, possibly meeting up with a friend at the dog show, chauffering my daughter to work. this is on Saturday

Sunday I am going to church, then taking a drive to the South to see if I can get some good bluebonnet and other wildflower photos.

63. It's a lot like indentured servitude, really.
But you get used to it. The first 6 months we were here 72 hours a week (we were'nt open Sunday then), but now when Chuck (my employee) comes in we are usually out of here. So we only have to work noon - 6pm on 4 days/week - less during the xmas and valentines seasons 'cause we can give Chuck extra hours.

If we were making money, it would be great. But as it is, we've worked these hours for less than minimum wage and no health insurance.

It is great being your own boss and the customers are really nice. They are glad I'm here and don't have to drive 30 miles to a sex store anymore.

I used to make the big bucks as a computer systems analyst - but I would rather be a clerk, janitor, handyman, merchandiser, stockboy and CEO of this fledgling corporation than go back to the cube farm.

35. It's Tony Stewart Show Car Weekend!
And I'm up to my ass in the big show!

For the first time in three years, they're sending my store a Home Depot show car. (A "show car" is a NASCAR race car that is put on display in front of a store or something so all of that driver's loyal fans can look at it.) Tonight, I have to go back to the store at 10pm (I worked 9am-4pm already) to clean up the area we're going to put the car. Tomorrow at 6am, I've got to be BACK at the store to help unload the car from the hauler, put up the display around it, and talk about the car with race fans for a few hours. It's actually fun to do--I've done a couple of similar events.

I'm going to ask for one for my birthday. I will borrow one soon and post a "post picture of you and your pet" thread in the Lounge.

Cotton is almost 2, bay with a star and three white feet! She is an Oldenburg, which is a German breed. She was approved (by the Germans!) as an Oldenburg last September. I had to take her to the official breed approval in order to have her approved as an Oldenburg. I can't ride her until she's 4 (her bones and joints must be fully grown). She is a sweet filly and has a good mind with an incredible ability to learn. She is a large and beautiful pet! She likes sugar cubes but I don't feed her by hand since she might mistake my fingers for food! I give her treats in her food bucket.
