2. The Muppet Movie
When I was 17 some girl I knew wanted to go out with me. We decided on a "double date" with her sister and her sister's b/f. I was told that I had to pick the movie. Guess which one I picked?..LOL.
I am such a romantic.

9. The Muppet Movie
it's just sheer genius, and seems to be the most "pure" of them. Not gimmicky or a "muppet adventure" or something, just a cool story about them coming together, and I love all the cameos.

It seems to me the best extension from the TV show, and the most honest. After that they seemed to be more about making a movie to make some $. I think Henson actually directed Caper, though.

Incidentally the Muppet Movie DVD has a fantastic "Camera Test" or something extra on it which is just plain precious as Kermit and Fozzie scout out locations.

11. Do you remember "Emmet Otter's Ragtime Christmas"
I think that was the name of it. It was on cable, back in the day when the cable remote had a cable on it.

13. Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas...
...and we were lucky enough to snag it on video when it was shown on -- I think -- whatever later became the Hallmark Channel.

I've never seen it on sale, nor seen it scheduled on cable for years and years.
