Foghat guitarist Rod Price dead at 57
Just saw the posting on CNN.

Damn shame. That guy could bend some strings. Those old Foghat albums were full of some good times.

Makes me wanna go put on that "Live" disk and rock the house a little.

3. He could rock, and his bandmates were from Savoy Brown.

5. I'm not a huge fan, but my brother was
My mom was fairly tolerant of most of our music in the 70s, but she loathed Foghat.
She had no problem with: Styx, REO Speedwagon, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Led Zep, etc. We didn't listen to heavy metal then, so we didn't have that issue.
As an adult, she has always bugged me for listening to GNR. "They're pigs and everytime I see them on the news they appear drunk and obnoxious". Ironically, my 89 year old Grandmother thinks "November Rain" is a beautiful song.

My favorite parental reaction to music comes from my brother-in-law's mother. She went to some catholic mothers meeting when he was in college, came home and asked him if he listened to "Metal-licka".
