Other than being able to take care of them, I don't understand why I should be well and them sick. I'd rather be sick.

Toby's a cat. It's a lot harder to take care of a sick cat than a sick person. But it doesn't break my heart as much as Mrs. V. being sick does.

That Mrs. V is still under the weather. And I can imagine how difficult it is to care for a sick kitty. Something like caring for a baby. They can't tell you what's wrong. All they can do is look at you with those big, pitiful eyes that break your heart.

It is a small favor that you're not sick too. It would be that much more difficult to care for Mrs. V and Toby.
