Any math lovers in here?
I'm doing a degree in math and computing science. Anyone else out there either studying or teaching math? Or maybe just like math as a hobby?

3. I'm married to a doctor of theoretical physics
What's more, she DOES MATH FOR FUN!

Her most recent endeavor has been to calculate the cosmological constant using Spinor theory (she thinks string theory is completely bogus).

How weird is that? *lol*

6. I do math every morning.
Edited on Sun Mar-20-05 06:30 AM by huellewig
Nothing difficult, just enough to get the gears turning.

Stuff like:

x3 + 5
f(x) = -------------
x2 + 3x + 1

5. Love math.
Always a nice challenge. Granted, I'm still in highschool, but I'm two or three years ahead of the average. I've also been known to dabble in computer programming, and math helps out with that once in a while.

7. NOT JUST NO BUT HELL NO!!!!
I hate math, always have and now that I'm trying to get my 10th grader through Geometry I'm going crazy once again. Although I was surprised and pleased that 30 years after suffering thru nasty geometry in high school I was smart enough to help my son slog through it. Scarry that I could help him, that and Algebra too. Unfortunately, we have to suffer through Algebra II and Advance Math of some sorts over the next two years to get him qualified for the NC college systems admissions process. Thank goodness in my day you only had to have Algebra and Geometry to get into college. Math is evil, It hurts my brain!

8. I'm working on a phd in astronomy
Plenty of math there. Radio astronomy is basically just "Fun with Fourier Transforms."
