Hmmm, maybe the luck o' the Irish is with me today, after all.
Despite my not wearing green.

How else can I explain such things?

1. My paycheck arrived a day earlier than expected.

2. I found a coupon in the bottom of my purse for a free Schlotsky's sandwich I had totally forgotten I had. It had an expiration date of March 18. Guess what I'm eating right now.

3. On my lunch break, I went for my follow-up optometrist appointment. I thought it would cost money. It didn't. I thought I'd have to fight him to get my contact lens prescription (I want to order them online). I didn't--he just handed it to me.

4. I actually found a clothing store for ME. Great, non-trendy (non-hootchie-momma-I'm-19-years-old-and-going-clubbing), well-made clothes with decent prices. Now HOW the hell did that happen? For anyone curious, it's called Christopher & Banks. Lady working there said they've been mostly in the north since 1952 and they are just now moving into the south. So this is the kind of stuff you guys have been hiding up there, huh?

5. While I'm eating, I've got the DVD of the first season of "Strangers with Candy" on. (Working at home today, meeting with boss later.)

6. It's FREAKING GORGEOUS outside and I'm headin' to Austin tomorrow!!!!

I will say, I did have a really crappy meeting early this morning. But it's been all good from there on out. There's even another good thing I'm not sharing because it's too specifically work-related, but it RAWKS.

SO HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!! I'm down with it now.

12. Isn't it GREAT?
Now, I don't want to be wearing clothes for women in their 40s and up ALL the time. I mean, I am still a rebel at heart.

So I've got my Hot Topic t-shirts (lol) and weird clothes combinations for the weekends.

But for work I have to tone that down a LOT and I've never found a store with decent work clothes for me that weren't mucho expensive. I LOVED that place, LOVED it.

15. Well I WOULD gladly offer to be his last fling
except that I think Mr. Bouncy might stringently object to such a thing.

He's weird, I know.

Maybe SarahBelle can be his last fling!

16. I can't believe Mr. Bouncy would be so difficult
I thought you were liberals!

I'm not sure I want him flinging so close to the wedding.

17. Well see here's the deal.
If Mr. Bouncy knows the guy well and is friends with him, too, then it's no big deal.

Take the couple I am going to Austin to visit this weekend. Her husband, let's say his name is Greg. If I were to sit in Greg's lap and flirt with him half the night, neither his wife (my best friend) nor Mr. Bouncy would bat an eye. They just wouldn't care. Because they know nothing's gonna happen. And they know Greg well, too. All in good fun.

But if he doesn't know the guy, that's different. Amongst our friends there's always intra-couple flirting going on and no one thinks a thing of it.

Maybe a fling close to the wedding will just convince him you are really the one for him!

9. RE: Austin
Just remember SXSW is this weekend, so plan accordingly. I got stuck downtown last night and a bitch of a time getting home.

11. Hells yeah.
SXSW. I'm not going to it (going down to meet with some non-DU but still Dem friends and then going to the protest on Saturday), but I know the traffic can be hell.

I don't know--we might end up going to see a show on Saturday. Who knows. It's just SO damn expensive.

This is the time of year when I really dislike living in this town. I guess I'm starting to show my age. :silly:
