Batten down the hatches lads the Captains going to sing
The ship is sailing happy upon a placid sea.

(Chorus) Batten down the hatches lads the Captain is going to sing.

The blue water turns a sea-sick green!

(Chorus) Batten down the hatches lads the Captain is going to sing.

The waves rise higher and the winds blow a melody in the riggings.

(Chorus) Batten down the hatches lads the Captain is going to sing.

I have decided to become a song writer and get really rich. But I think I need a little help. Perhaps a lot of help?

3. Well thanks
Ms. Jitterbug and Mr. Hardhead.

Remember not long ago in the lounge people would add on a verse. Oh it was fun!

When the Captain starts to singing he is singing up a storm.

Batten down the hatches lads the Captain is going to sing.

Lets hear your input some time Hardhead.

7. It is why the Captain
is going to "Sing up a storm" And the crew will cry out "Please no more Captain you are going to kill us all with your wretched singing."

Batten down the hatches lads the Captain is going to sing.

6. My voice is ruined
from unnatural causes.

Who is Stan Rogers? And please do not laugh at my ignorance. You can tell by my musings that I am very sensitive. As is my song. Hee hee hee!
