11. Another cribbage player here
Poker's great, but you've got to plan a poker night. I can go to a pub on a whim with my pegboard and find a game of cribbage.

27. How the freak do you play?
I read the directions that came with our game - and couldn't figure out what the hell it was talking about.

Any good sites on how to play?

48. My grandfather taught me to play years ago
I have played since I was around 6 or 7. At 17 am really good at it now, but it took several years and help from dad and grandpa to learn to play the game well. I can give almost anyone a run for there money playing now, as long as my cards don't start getting bad...

13. Its similar to Spades, but fewer cards
uses only 9's and higher. And no jokers, the Jacks of the trump suit and same color as trump suit count as jokers.

32. Did you go to U of I?
When I lived in the dorms, my friends and I would fill up entire notebooks with game scoring. If you had to score euchre on paper, we would've filled up 3 times the amount we filled. Anyway, euchre was the perennial favorite, followed by hearts, then uno, then spades.

I *love* whist! The trouble is, we can't find anyone to play with here. My whole family likes whist, so we play when we get home to visit, but no one here seems familiar with it. If we could find two willing card players, we could teach them.

49. I love canasta, learned to play it when I was a kid, however
another game my family loves is Shanghai Rummy. It is a game that can be played by an odd number of players, up to 7 w/three decks of cards.

Sometimes known as Liverpool Rummy and I believe it has other names as well.
