WHO NEEDS THERAPY WHEN YOU HAVE PETS?
Edited on Sun Mar-13-05 08:50 PM by NightTrain
For the uninitiated: the dog is named Mystique, the orange-and-white cat is Palazar, and the gray kitty is Princess. Aren't they cute? :loveya:

1. What I always tell my wife...
...when she's sick in bed: apply small dogs to the affected area.

4. They are great therapy, but my dog is
of no use to me when it comes to my mother issues. I try to say "Doggie, listen, I have serious abandonment issues..." and all she does is lick my nose, then roll over on her back for belly rubs.

5. Oh god, belly rubs!
Mystique is a belly-rub addict. She'd lie motionless on her back for hours if I rubbed her belly the whole time!

7. I've trained Hannah to give kisses for belly rubs.
So she licks my nose, then immediately goes belly up. When I stop, she jumps up, licks my nose, goes belly up.

We call her a belly slut.

14. Both my poodles ZIpper and Nikki like belly rubs too
Zipper more so. She will skitter right on over whenever I say belly rub. If I come home from work and she is in the bedroom she will slide like crazy across the bed to get to me ending up on her back wanting me to rub her belly... she will shake her hind legs for all she can get.

I just got Nikki recently and she is very pushy... if I give Zipper any attention then she will push her way over Zipper to get her belly rub.

6. My dogs need therapy!
I swear they're brain-damaged.

One buries her food with air, so the other one doesn't get it.

The other buries biscuits in the middle of the floor. Tamps it down real good with his nose.

12. Now that is something...
My Zipper and Nikki don't quite do that... They either find a corner/nook/fold to stash their food. Zipper will take a milk bone or something and sneak off to another room... looking back to see if I see her taking it.

They both will even nose food away if it is too close to them when they want to sleep.

10. Cute critters!
I've got pit mixes too, and one of them is so silly that even when I'm in a rotten mood from hell she can make me laugh. :)

She actually "laughs" if I drop something, trip, fall down, etc. She gets this HUGE grin and starts thrashing her tail wildly! Same thing if my cat falls off something. :)
